Historically, Friday-Ad offered a feature for you when placing ads, to keep your original phone number private from potential buyers by displaying an 07044, 07092 or 07052 number instead. When a buyer called this number, the call is automatically redirected to your private number, at a cost to the caller of 37.5p per minute at peak times (25p per minute in the evening and 12.5p per minute at weekends).

Due to changes imposed following an OFCOM investigation into 070 numbers, this feature was removed from 1st September 2019. We also believe by removing this option, it could lead to more phone calls from potential buyers, who may have been wary of calling before due to the premium rate number costs. 

As the seller, if you would still prefer to keep your phone number private, please make sure the ‘Contact by phone’ option is unticked, in your account settings which can be found by logging into your account page. Buyers will then contact you solely by email instead.
